If

the internet, and then run a either Netscape or Internet Explorer instead

If
you prefer to use AOL's custom web browsing interface you should make
sure that you have the latest version of AOL's browser installed. If you
continue to have difficulties you should contact AOL technical support.
To
determine what version of AOL you are using:
1.
On the Help menu above the AOL toolbar, click About America Online.
The version of America Online software you are using appears.
2.
You can download the latest version of AOL at Keyword: Upgrade. If the
software available at Keyword: Upgrade matches the version number that
you have, you have the most recent version. There is no charge to upgrade

AOL
Macintosh Users
For Macintosh users the latest AOL browser version is 5.0
However AOL 5.0 for Mac has Internet Explorer 4.0 embedded in it, instead
of version the latest version of Internet Explorer for the Macintosh.
Internet Explorer 4 does not have JavaScript capabilities therefore you
will not be able to access the sub-menus throughout the site.
Internet Explorer 4 also has serious security risks -- everyone should
be using at least IE 5.5 Service Pack 2 for personal security reasons
(worms, etc.).
